Regeneration and better well-being thanks to regular sauna sessions – how to do it easily in your garden
You don't have to be a professional athlete to enjoy the benefits of sauna therapy. Regular sessions two to three times a week help your body recover faster, reduce stress, and promote deeper sleep. See how easy it is to incorporate sauna therapy into your daily life with the help of the portable, mobile SaunaSoul tent sauna.
Entry
While preparing for the Ironman Lahti 2022 ( official race website ), I trained six times a week. Sauna was an absolute necessity for me – recovery was impossible without it.
I exercise less these days, but with a sauna in my garden , I still use it three times a week because it only takes a moment. My well-being, sleep quality, and health are at an incredible level—and I haven't been sick for over 500 days.
Why is it worth sauna regularly?
- Better muscle recovery – heat improves circulation and helps eliminate post-exercise fatigue.
- Stress reduction – a few minutes in the sauna and your head feels lighter.
- Deeper sleep – the body enters a state of rest more easily.
- Stronger immunity – regular use of a mobile and portable sauna supports the immune system.
It is no coincidence that in Finland or New Zealand, a sauna is a daily ritual, not a luxury.
How easy is it to do this with SaunaSoul?
Step 1. Choose your weekly rhythm
Set regular days: for example, Monday after training, Wednesday after work, and Sunday for relaxation. Consistency is key – 2–3 times a week.
Step 2. Set up and light
- If you are using the sauna in a new location: it takes about 15 minutes for two people to set up and 20-25 minutes for the heater to heat up.
- Do you have a permanent sauna in your garden? No need to set it up – just fire up the stove and enjoy your session.

Step 3. Session
Ideally, 2–3 10–15-minute sessions with short breaks. For those who prefer, a contrast: a cold shower, a hot tub, or winter swimming.
Step 4. Atmosphere
Personally, I often use it in silence or with instrumental sounds, but when friends come over, I let them DJ . It's amazing how everyone likes a different "sauna vibe": some prefer heavier sounds and strong bass, others silence or film music. Each time, the portable sauna transforms into a completely different place. It has a powerful bonding effect.
My experiences
While training for Ironman triathlons, the sauna was my key recovery tool – like an extra workout for my immunity and muscles.
Now that I have a tent sauna in my garden, I use it three times a week. It's so simple: a few minutes of heating and I can step into the hot tub.
- Better sleep quality ,
- more energy every day,
- a sense of health and immunity that no supplement has given me.
The SaunaSoul mobile and portable sauna gives me what I previously only had in the best sports facilities in the world – and without leaving home.
Summary
